Adjunct Faculty - Nursing Assistant Instructor-Community Education Center

Black Hawk College seeks adjunct/part-time instructors for the Nursing Assistant Program at the Community Education Center in Kewanee, IL.

• Prepare appropriate syllabi.
• Develop lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students' educational experience.
• Develop and execute appropriate methods of evaluating students' performance.
• Develop, secure, and maintain equipment and other instructional materials essential for presenting classroom material.

• Registered nurse with current Illinois nursing license required.
• One year of clinical experience in long-term care nursing required.
• Teaching experience required or completion of Illinois Department of Public Health training program required prior to employment.
• Must be approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health for theory instruction, clinical instruction, and Alzheimer’s content.
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing OR Associate Degree in Nursing plus completion of the Train-the-trainer course.
• Oral English proficiency required.

Pay is commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024):

• Less Than a Master's Degree: $693.36 per equated hour
• Master's Degree: $808.92 per equated hour
• Doctorate: $866.70 per equated hour
