- Responsible for developing individualized education programs (IEP's) and ensuring that curricula meet the needs of each student
- ADLs
- Feeding tubes, lifting, toileting, bathing, positioning, and changing diapers
- Build positive relationships with students and their families
- Trauma-informed practices
- Ability to facilitate and support sensory diet and needs
- Extended School Year is required
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education
- Valid Illinois lives as a learning Behavior Specialist-Limited or unlimited
- Skills in the use of behavior management strategies, inclusion strategies, differentiated instruction, and accommodations
- Knowledge of the evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of various disabilities
- PEL
- CPI Trained
- Pay is per the collective bargaining agreement
