The purpose of this position is to assist with daily operations of the Bowling Center and support the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) program. Duties may include special events, recreation information, command events, visiting ships or fleet support, community events, trips, tours, outings, party/picnic rentals, resale tickets, green space management, bowling, library, Liberty, grab‑n‑go, movies, and outdoor recreation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily operations of the Bowling Center.
- Support MWR program activities including special events, recreation resources, and community engagements.
- Coordinate and execute recreation—both indoor and outdoor—programs and facilities.
- Provide customer service and information to patrons.
- Participate in community events and outreach initiatives.
- Manage event rentals and resources.
- Assist with maintenance, safety, and operations of recreation facilities.
Qualifications
- Combination of six months general experience and six months specialized experience related to customer service and recreation activities.
- Ability to organize, plan, and administer special events and entertainment activities.
- Independent decision‑making and effective oral and written communication.
- Knowledge of leisure‑time activity principles, techniques, and procedures.
- Familiarity with the Navy MWR mission and community recreation activities for diverse groups.
- Experience in recreation operations and procedures.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Data organization, record‑keeping, and reporting abilities.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Computer proficiency and office procedure knowledge.
Relocation
- NO Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) is authorized.
