Description
The Student Success Coach assists with recruitment and retention of students for the Nextgen Opportunity Workforce (NOW) Scholarship.

Examples of Duties
  • Recruit students from the appropriate high school to apply for the NOW scholarship annually.
  • Assist prospective students and NOW scholarship applicants to complete college and scholarship applications.
  • Coordinate with Financial Aid to assist assigned students complete a FAFSA, as appropriate.
  • Assess assigned scholarship recipients' academic performance at least two times per semester and at the end of each semester.
  • Coordinates with CFK tutors, as necessary to support the assigned scholarship recipients.
  • Ensures that assigned scholarship recipients have appointments with academic advisors and are registered for each semester.
  • Assists with coordinating recruitment and retention events including campus tours, application workshops, and other events as determined by the College.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for assigned scholarship recipients and CFK staff.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Highly proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Comfortable with learning innovative technology and systems.
    • High-level of discretion required when dealing with confidential matters.
    • Ability to effectively work with College employees, donors, students, and the community.
    • Possess outstanding customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Understanding of, and commitment to Equal Access/Equal Opportunity.
    • Knowledge of College mission, policies, procedures, and services.
    Education and

    Qualifications:
    • Graduation from an accredited two-year college or university with an Associate's Degree in a related field is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Minimum one (1) year related experience is required.
    (A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the above minimum qualifications)
