Base Salary ranges from $62,700 to $104,700, commensurate with experience.

How to Become FL Certified in Biology (Grades 6-12):
If you hold an unexpired, out-of-state, professional educator certificate in this subject area, please apply for Florida reciprocity.
Commonly accepted bachelor's (or higher degree) majors for a Florida temporary educator certificate include:
Bacteriology, Biology, Biological Sciences, Biomechanics, Botany, Dentistry, Doctor of Medicine, Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Genetics, Kinesiology, Life Science, Marine Biology, Microbiology, Zoology, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathy
For other degree majors, passing the FTCE Subject Area Exam in Biology 6-12 is required. This computer based test is 80 multiple-choice questions and 2.5 hours. Free sample questions are available here. Visit the testing website for further details. Locate a test center. If at first you don't succeed, you may retest every 30 days. The exam costs $150, unless you have an approved Military Vet or Spouse Certification Fee Waiver or Retired First Responder Fee Waiver.
