Athletic Coaching K-12 Certification
Athletic coaching K-12 certification issued by the Florida Department of Education is required for individuals who do not hold a valid Florida educator certificate to be paid to coach in public schools. All coaches are required to hold valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Heart Association. High school Assistant Varsity & JV Coaches are paid a supplement of $1,550 at the end of the season.
Employment for this position is contingent upon successful completion of background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
