VDI Systems Administrator – GDIT, Key West, FL

• Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems
• Works side‑by‑side with the engineer to maintain and deploy VDI thin clients
• Works directly with SCCM/MECM to ensure patching/security compliance is handled, and with the Service Desk department to troubleshoot issues with hardware and software
• Participates in a new VDI rollout project, providing valuable input to complete the project in a timely manner
• Maintains and secures master images and VDI pools
• Hands‑on, direct customer interaction

• Education:
  
  Degree or technical training in VMware and VDI infrastructure
• Required Experience:
  
  10+ years of related experience
• Required Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  VMware, VMware Horizon, VMware vSphere, GPOs, AD, VDI, SCCM/MECM
• Required
  
  Certifications:
  
  Security+
• Preferred
  
  Skills:
  
  FS Logix and/or Horizon Client experience
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• US Citizenship required
• Secret clearance to start; must be able to attain TS/SCI
• Must be on customer site; 40 hours per week; onsite telecommute; no travel required
