We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to support operations in Key West, FL
. This position is contingent on contract award, with an expected start date in May 2026. This is a full-time position requiring an active DoD Secret Clearance. This position may be subject to the Service Contract Labor Standards Act (SCLS)/Service Contract Act (SCA).
What you’ll do and what you’ll bring are described below.
What You’ll DoAs a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting lifecycle logistics management and maintaining reliable network and system operations for mission-critical assets that serve U.S. government missions. This role falls under Project Engineer within our compensation framework. You will:
- Perform life cycle logistics management duties for GFP/physical assets. Provide primary Network Administrator site support.
- Direct, coordinate, and functionally head planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility.
- Plan and formulate engineering programs.
- Assign project personnel to specific phases or aspects of a project, such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing, in accordance with engineering disciplines of staff.
- Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
- Direct integration of technical activities and products.
- Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Control expenditures within limitations of project budget.
- Prepare interim and completion project reports.
Required Qualifications:
- Education & Experience
: - HS Diploma or GED
- Experience with network administration and/or lifecycle logistics support
- Certifications
: - IAT Level II
- Must have a current and active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Proficient with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies
Travel & Passport
- Some overnight stays possible.
- Must have an active passport to support OCONUS travel and/or living requirements.
Work Environment Requirements
- Periods of prolonged sitting and/or standing, including desk-based computer work.
- Travel between work locations, including company offices, customer sites, and government installations.
- Occasional extended work hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
- Transport and use of work equipment, such as laptops and job-related tools, during site visits.
- Work is performed in a secure facility where personal electronic devices may be restricted.
- Physical activities may include bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials, consistent with established one-person lift guidelines.
- Use of tools, equipment, and machinery as required for the role.
- Communication with team members, customers, and stakeholders through verbal and written methods.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work under deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Interaction with others in dynamic environments, including situations requiring problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Compliance with applicable medical or travel requirements for certain assignments, including domestic or international travel, as required by governing authorities.
