This role requires someone who can balance long-term planning with a hands-on approach to daily operations. From identifying opportunities for property improvements to responding when an immediate need arises, you will play an important role in preserving the character of Key West Historic Inns while ensuring our facilities and building systems perform at the highest level.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, emergency, preventive maintenance, life safety systems, and related building disciplines is necessary.

Refrigeration, HVAC, EPA certification, journeyman-level experience, or other applicable trade certifications highly preferred. Proven experience developing and managing preventive maintenance programs and long-term asset preservation strategies is required. Experience developing and managing departmental budgets, capital expenditures, renovation projects, vendor relationships, and service contracts is required. Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements, fire and life safety standards, environmental regulations, applicable building codes, and safe work practices is necessary.

Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to coach, motivate, develop, and hold team members accountable are required. Excellent troubleshooting, critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are necessary. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple properties, projects, and priorities simultaneously are required. Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to monitor expenses, evaluate proposals, and make sound operational recommendations are necessary.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is required. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests, team members, vendors, contractors, and all levels of leadership is necessary. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, equipment specifications, contracts, and regulatory documentation is required. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is necessary. Valid driver's license preferred.

Must meet the minimum age requirement of the jurisdiction. Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond to evenings, weekends, holidays, severe weather events, and property emergencies based on business needs is required.

Benefits include multiple tiers of medical coverage, dental & vision coverage, 24/7 teledoc service, free maintenance medications, pet insurance, hotel discounts, tuition reimbursement, paid time off (vacation, sick, bereavement, and holidays), and 401K match.

Salary range starting from USD $0.00/Yr.
