• Serve as a Counter drug (CD)/Counter-narcoterrorist (CNT) Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Analyst responsible for providing detailed analysis in support of tactical operations and plans.
• Analyze imagery, maps, charts and other GEOINT data to identify and locate Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO)/Narcoterrorist equipment, smuggling conveyances, forces and activity within an assigned area.
• Apply a comprehensive knowledge of Intelligence sources, GEOINT analysis, and research methodologies to develop drug cultivation areas, drug lab, port, airfield and vessel databases.
• Provide guidance on GEOINT techniques and methodologies used in GEOINT analysis and production, presenting GEOINT positions effectively within the Intelligence, planning, and operational communities.
• Identify and anticipate information shortfalls and gaps related to intelligence problems, evaluate data for consistency and correlation to other sources, and assist in the development of GEOINT collecting and tasking programs.
• Establish and maintain liaison with counterparts in other government Agencies and with other analysis ts in the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) Area of Responsibility.
• Plan, coordinate, review, and synthesize research submitted by analysts to prepare GEOINT products and responses in accordance with various requirements.
• Brief intelligence assessments and positions to staff principals and senior intelligence analysts within the National and International Intelligence Communities.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must perform Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% or less of the time in CONUS and OCONUS in order to participate in interagency and IC conferences and meetings.
• This position is designated Tier 5, Special Sensitive, High Risk and the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance Level with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access as a condition of employment.
• This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug Free Federal Workplace Program in accordance with AR 600-85. See Additional Information section below.
• Two year trial period may be required. See Additional Information section for more.
• Shift work is required to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
