Work Location:
Curio Casa Marina Resort, 1500 Reynolds Street, Key West 33040. Due to a promotion, the newly renovated Casa Marina is seeking a Complex Event Manager to join the Catering and Events team. Casa Marina is located on the southernmost point of the U.S. in Key West and features an elegant, historic setting with 311 rooms, 4 food and beverage outlets, and over 11,000 square feet of banquet space.
In this position, you will manage the execution of events and oversee group room blocks ranging from 10 to 200 rooms on peak. You will act as the primary liaison between the client and the hotel, facilitating communication and collaboration across departments to ensure seamless coordination during on-site events. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role within a complex hotel environment (Casa Marina and The Reach), requiring frequent movement between properties.
Many events are outdoors, so the ability to work comfortably in warm conditions is essential.
The ideal candidate must have previous hotel experience, preferably in Weddings and Corporate events. Delphi and OnQ experience is highly preferred.
As a Complex Event Manager, you will be responsible for event execution between the hotel and the customer during the meeting or event. You will act as liaison between the customer and the hotel by directing each department within the hotel as to their specific role in the on-site event. Successful achievement of this goal will contribute to re-booking business for future dates.
You will maximize revenues through effective up-selling of products and services. You will serve as the event planner primary contact during events on property and manage the guest experience.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Years of
Experience:
one (1) year hospitality-related experience at the manager level.
Preferred capabilities include knowledge of hotel property management systems (Delphi, fdc) and a relevant degree in business development or related field (CMP, CPCE).
