Overnight Manager
Key West Historic Inns is seeking an experienced and service-driven Overnight Manager to oversee hotel operations during the overnight hours across our collection of historic boutique inns. Serving as the Manager on Duty, this role is responsible for ensuring a seamless guest experience while overseeing front office operations, Night Audit, and supporting Food & Beverage operations as needed. The Overnight Manager works closely with department leaders to ensure the hotel operates efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards.
This position is responsible for completing nightly financial and operational reporting, monitoring labor and revenue reports, supporting team member scheduling and training, responding to guest concerns, coordinating overnight operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable health and sanitation regulations. The Overnight Manager provides hands-on leadership throughout the shift, assisting both guests and team members as needed while maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment and ensuring the property is prepared for a successful start to each new day.

Responsibilities- Serve as the Manager on Duty during the overnight shift, overseeing hotel operations and ensuring exceptional guest service.
- Perform Night Audit functions, including balancing daily financial transactions, reconciling guest accounts, closing the business day, and preparing nightly financial and operational reports.
- Supervise overnight front office operations, ensuring efficient check-in/check-out procedures, guest satisfaction, and adherence to hotel standards.
- Support overnight Food & Beverage operations by assisting with guest needs and coordinating with department leaders as necessary.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, service recovery situations, and emergency incidents.
- Conduct routine property inspections to ensure the safety, security, cleanliness, and operational readiness of the hotel.
- Coordinate guest services, including transportation requests, VIP arrivals, group arrivals and departures, and amenity deliveries as needed.
- Monitor labor reports, payroll hours, and operational performance to support efficient overnight operations.
- Assist with recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and development of overnight team members in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate manager logs, incident reports, and shift communications to ensure a smooth transition to the day leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, health and sanitation standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of hotel operations.
- Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience in hotel Front Office, Night Audit, or a related hospitality discipline.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest service standards, Night Audit procedures, cash handling, and financial reconciliation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to independently manage overnight operations, motivate team members, and make sound operational decisions.
- Strong organizational, time management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with guests, team members, and leadership.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies, hotel operating procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local employment and hospitality regulations.
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS), Microsoft Office, and general computer applications.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- College-level reasoning, mathematical, and language skills preferred.
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
