Senior Cybersecurity Systems Administrator (HBSS / Trellix) – Onsite (Key West, FL)

Compensation: $165,000 – $185,000 base (W-2, DOE)

• Active DoD Secret clearance required to start (must be eligible to obtain/maintain TS/SCI)
• This role is 100% onsite in Key West, FL

We are seeking a senior-level Cybersecurity Systems Administrator with deep hands‑on experience supporting enterprise endpoint security environments, specifically within the Trellix Security Platform (formerly McAfee HBSS). This role supports a mission‑critical DoD environment and is responsible for assessing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining security tooling to protect enterprise systems and infrastructure.

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Trellix Security Platform (TSP), including HBSS/ePO components
• Conduct security assessments of enterprise systems, applications, and infrastructure
• Analyze security posture and provide recommendations to improve alignment with DoD cybersecurity requirements
• Monitor endpoint protection performance, risk scoring, and compliance metrics
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and tool integration
• Support compliance with NIST, DoD STIGs, and applicable security frameworks
• Evaluate emerging endpoint security technologies and recommend improvements
  
  Collaborate with cyber, network, and systems teams to strengthen overall security posture

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, or security engineering
• Demonstrated experience administering HBSS / Trellix Security Platform (TSP) in an enterprise environment
• Strong understanding of endpoint security, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring
• Experience working in DoD or other highly regulated environments
• Familiarity with NIST, STIGs, and security compliance frameworks
• Active Secret clearance (must be TS/SCI eligible)

• Experience supporting DoD Combatant Commands or major DoD components
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CySA+, Security+, CySA+, or Trellix/McAfee certifications
• Experience with ACAS, CMRS, ESS, or related DoD cybersecurity tooling
