Stormwater/Collections Operator - Key West, FL ($12,000/year COLA)
Storm Water/Collections Operator responsible for operation and maintenance of the collection system within the City of Key West, Florida. The position includes operating equipment such as backhoe, Aqua Tech, and dump truck; performing trench work, cleaning and clearing sewer lines; installing new lines; adjusting manhole covers; repairing and maintaining flow conditions; patching streets and sidewalks; erecting fences; completing work orders and complaint forms.
Preventive maintenance and effective solutions are key responsibilities. Safety, health and well-being of the team are priorities.
$41,200.00 – $53,500.00 per year (hourly based on hours worked).
Additional Housing Stipend$12,000.00 per year COLA to offset the high cost of living in the area.
Qualifications- A valid driver’s license with no major infractions
- High school diploma or GED
- Approved courses in collection systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of collection system equipment, tools and materials used to maintain, repair, and install the system
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
