RN - L&D

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phase of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. The nurse will utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures, demonstrating critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care.

• Provide comprehensive care to Labor and Delivery patients.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on available staff education and experience.
• Supervise assigned personnel delivering patient care.
• Float to other units as facility needs apply.

• Minimum of 2 years of prior travel experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, nursery, or Mother/Baby.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
• PALS certification required but can be procured within 30 days of start.
• Active RN license and AHCA required for Florida placements.
