The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. The role requires the utilization of the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The nurse will demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership.
Responsibilities- Provide care during various phases of obstetrical care.
- Utilize the Nursing Process in compliance with regulations and policies.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and leadership skills.
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities effectively.
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel.
- 2+ years of prior travel experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
- PALS certification required; can be obtained within 30 days of start if needed.
- AWHONN certification preferred (can be completed onsite).
- AHCA clearance required for Florida placements.
