Job Description
Position involves preparing and handling food products, stocking, order processing, inventory, and maintaining clean facilities. This description retains the original responsibilities and requirements.
Responsibilities- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Operate all equipment and prepare product.
- Clean equipment and facility on a daily basis.
Orientation and on-the-job training provided.
Communication SkillsAbility to comprehend and follow written and spoken instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately (calculator may be used). Must be able to make correct monetary change. Verbal and written communication skills to take and process orders. Strong motor coordination to perform precise movements quickly. Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work ConditionsExposure to varying weather conditions when performing outside tasks. In-store temperatures range from 36 degrees (cooler) to 90 degrees and above in some areas. Sudden temperature changes in work areas and outdoors. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk-in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools up to 500 degrees or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
SensingTalking and hearing on the telephone. Near and mid-range vision for in-store tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
TemperamentsAbility to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Physical DemandsStanding:
Most tasks are performed in a standing position. Walking on tile/bricks with linoleum in some areas. Height of work surfaces 36-48 inches.

Office desk work. Lifting:
Deliveries may include cases up to 50 pounds; cases stacked up to 72 inches high. Carrying:
Large cans (3 lb 7 oz); pizza sauce up to 40 pounds; trays of dough (~12 pounds per tray). Pushing/Pulling:
Moving trays on dollies with up to 7.5 pounds of push force. Climbing:
Occasional stairs or ladder use. Stooping/Bending:
Repeated forward bending during station work. Reaching:
Continuous reaching in multiple directions.
Occasional reach above shoulder height to turn on/off controls, change prices, and lift items. Reaching to scoop cornmeal, clean surfaces, or answer phones.
