As a Supervisory Sales Associate you will be the face of our company to both the associates and our customers. You help highlight our brand and image while contributing to building our reputation as a company that values its customers and their opinions. Duties and Responsibilities- Customer Service:
Proactively engage and connect with customers. - Ask questions and listen to customer needs.
- Direct customers to merchandise, informing them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, STAR card.
- Build positive, inclusive, and respectful relationships; take accountability for actions and outcomes.
- Maintain organization: store appearance; cross-sell products and know the store layout.
- Suggest latest trends and current promotions based on customer needs.
- Upsell products: learn product features, stay current on trends, and provide product knowledge and specs.
- Use Point-of-Sales system; process cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit/debit cards; cash handling including counting money and returning accurate amounts.
- Complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliation related to Inventory.
- Keep merchandise, complete inventory processes, ensure proper ticketing; participate in periodic inventories.
- Responsible for security of cash, fixed assets, and merchandise inventory.
- Provide direction on assignments, prioritize projects/tasks, manage merchandise and inventory.
- Dependability: adhere to assigned work schedule; accurate and complete follow-through on work assignments.
- Supervisory requirements: provide effective leadership, direct, train, and motivate associates; coach and give feedback timely and professionally; provide direction, work assignments, and training; may open/close locations.
- Product Knowledge: moderate knowledge of products; provide training documentation on product features.
- Experience:
1-2 years of retail or relevant work experience; 1 year of lead or supervisory experience preferred. - Communication: strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to read, write, and interpret instructional documents; effective in customer, peer, and management communication.
- Mathematical
Skills:
basic math functions; ability to use a calculator and calculate percentages and ratios; make change in American monetary units. - Reasoning: ability to multi-task, work as part of a team, take initiative, and defuse escalated exchanges to create win-win outcomes.
This position involves constant movement, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Involves lifting at least 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs in some departments. Work typically performed indoors but may be assigned outdoors depending on location.

General Experience1 year responsible experience in clerical, office, or retail sales store work demonstrating ability to perform satisfactorily.

Substitution of Education for ExperienceStudy completed in a college, university, or junior college above high school level may be substituted for 6 months of experience per one-half academic year. At any level, specialized experience may be substituted for required general experience. Candidates must demonstrate supervisory potential through work experience or training.
