As a Lab Analyst
, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services – uninterrupted. Based in Key West, FL
, you will assist laboratory staff in analyzing chemical and microbiological samples of wastewater influent and effluent, sludge, marine waters and other process analysis.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assist staff in performing a variety of chemical, biochemical, and bacteriological tests
  • Use laboratory equipment and materials
  • Perform routine computations and maintain records
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work
  • Maintain a comprehensive quality assurance program based on the established guidelines
  • Operate a variety of laboratory equipment including pH meters, balances, furnaces, autoclaves, incubators, and calculators
  • Assist with performing pilot study activities
  • Maintain, clean, and care for laboratory equipment and material
  • Assist in keeping laboratory records and preparing laboratory reports
  • Collect water, wastewater, and marine water samples for lab analysis
  • Perform other duties as required
Here’s what you'll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with no major infractions
  • $12,000 year COLA
Ideally, Here’s What You Will Also Have
  • One year of experience with knowledge of the principles of chemistry, biology, and related procedures and materials used in chemical, biochemical, and bacteriological tests and analyses; laboratory safety and equipment and material care and maintenance
  • Knowledge of the principles and methods of biological and chemical analyses of water/wastewater; safe work practices
  • Proficiency in the use of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and database management systems

The base salary range for this position is $41,200.00 to $49,920.00; though the position will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
