Job Description

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, has a great opportunity for a Security Coordinator for our NITE Contract located on the East Coast of the United States. This position carries out the security measures necessary for implementing requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), government security regulations, and company security policies and procedures. Primary duties include the execution of the NITE daily security program requirements and participation in the company’s security program.

The coordinator conducts security briefings, administers effective security education programs, and enforces the policies and procedures in the NITE Security Plan.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Department of Navy security policies and other security activities for HII Mission Technologies, including document control, visitor control, personnel security, physical security, and interpretation/preparation/maintenance of prime and subcontract DD Form 254 for classified contracting.
  • Prepare, track, and monitor all security QMS documents to ensure document update timelines are met.
  • Provide weekly security status reports for the Key West Tactical Training Range (KWTTR).
  • Provide guidance and instructions to all employees to ensure any event, circumstance, or act that could be considered a breach of security is reported immediately.
  • Ensure completion of security paperwork by employees.
  • Conduct security training, briefings, and debriefings.
  • Manage, protect, and safeguard all classified materials, including receiving, controlling, routing, storing, marking, packaging, mailing, and destroying all classified materials and their associated records.
  • Investigate and report all counterintelligence threats through NCIS and DCSA.
  • Investigate and report security violations and draft incident reports through the CDRL A012 reporting vehicle.
  • Maintain all records in compliance with NITE security manual A011 and subsequent work instructions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1-year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
  • Must currently possess and be able to maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Strong working knowledge of personnel security; classified information systems, classified contract management and contract security classification specification (DD254) preparation; physical security; insider threat program; counter terrorism and counterintelligence; administrative inquiries, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and use of DISS.
  • Knowledge and experience enforcing security policies and procedures.
  • Experience with COMSEC instructions.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
Preferred Requirements
  • FSO for possessing facility course work completed.
Physical Requirements

Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate business machines. Minimal lifting may be required.
