This position performs skilled HVAC routine preventative and maintenance duties, along with general maintenance, inspection and repair of exhibit areas, building, grounds, and building equipment for Historic Tours of America’s Key West operations. The employee ensures the company’s high standards of safety and cleanliness are maintained.

- Perform preventative maintenance, general maintenance, inspections, and installations/repairs to building, grounds, and building equipment to keep operations running smoothly
- Inspect, repair, modify, and install HVAC equipment, including refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, receivers, and condensers
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units and equipment and make necessary adjustments or repairs
- Repair and replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, log switches, damper motors, louvers, relays, filters, belts, compressors, pressure controls, and safety valves
- Install and calibrate systems; install copper tubing and repair pipes and tubing as necessary; test joints and insulate pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- High degree of self‑motivation and ability to work independently and as a team within established rules and regulations
- Standard knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration systems, and system calibration
- Working knowledge of tools and equipment used in HVAC systems, general maintenance, and construction
- Ability to apply basic knowledge in carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, building maintenance, groundskeeping, and equipment repair
- Knowledge of welding and soldering techniques
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- 1–3 years of general maintenance preferred
- 1–3 years of HVAC maintenance
- Must pass pre‑employment MVR/background check and substance abuse testing
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years
