Stormwater/Collections Operator - Key West, FL ($12,000/year COLA)

In this role, you’ll operate and maintain equipment such as backhoes, Aqua Tech, and dump trucks, perform trench work, clean and clear sewer lines, install new lines, adjust manhole covers, replace frames, and maintain flowing conditions. You will also prepare and repair fences, complete work orders, and field complaint forms. Your primary goal is to ensure the safety, health and well‑being of you and your team.

• Operate and maintain equipment including backhoes, Aqua Tech, and dump truck.
• Perform trench work, cleaning and clearing of sewer lines.
• Install new lines, adjust manhole covers, and replace frames.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain flow conditions; patch streets and sidewalks.
• Erect and repair fences.
• Complete work orders and field complaint forms.
• Ensure safety, health and well‑being of team members.

• Valid driver’s license with no major infractions.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Approved courses in collection systems (ideal).
• Knowledge of collection system and tools, equipment, and materials used to maintain and repair the system (ideal).

Safety is a core value s position will spend a substantial amount of time performing safety‑sensitive labor or services. The role requires physical activity and strong safety compliance knowledge.

Additional housing stipend is offered to offset the high cost of living in the area ($12,000/year COLA). Base salary ranges from $41,200 to $53,500 hourly, with pay determined by work location and experience.
