Core Responsibilities

• Respond to all service calls within half hour from time call is received.

• Determine defects, trouble-shoot malfunctions, take immediate necessary corrective
• action if guest related/top priority or scheduled for completion within 2 days and record
• same on the departmental work order form.
• Follow specific departmental procedures in efficiently performing repair, maintenance,
• alteration and installation work.
• Comply with the latest local, county, state and federal governmental codes, laws and
• requirements.
• Coordinate with other department personnel such as electrician, carpenter, painter and
• night engineer in completing service, replacement, alteration and new installation work.
• Assist in training mechanical level and new department associates on equipment and
• daily function of the hotel.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all mechanical, electrical and
• plumbing systems on an on-going basis.
• Efficiently maintain pools, filters and pumps on a daily basis.
• Efficiently adjust televisions and program Spectradyne boxes.
• Carefully and efficiently paint, stain or repair interior and exterior finishes.
• Change light bulbs and ballasts as soon as reported or noticed.
• Record daily, weekly and monthly temperature and pressure readings.
• Efficiently and accurately install and repair carpets, ensuring all safety hazards are
• attended to immediately.
• Be familiar with and maintain all fire safety equipment operations and implement
• emergency procedures when required.
• Respond to any HVAC calls or room calls as a priority.
• Produce accurate logs, charts and preventive maintenance forms.
• Perform other duties as assigned
