Pipefitter, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

• Install, modify, repair new/existing high-pressure piping systems and equipment; steam-heating, steam generation, and hydraulic systems, steam generators, flash and expansion tanks, condensate, vacuum, circulating pumps, and radiators.
• Remove, clean, replace, pack, and seal defective parts of utility, supply, and disposal systems such as traps, sections of broken tile pipe, sewer lines, and leaking drains.
• Install, maintain, and repair a variety of heating and air conditioning units to include oil lines, air lines, water lines, steam lines, valves, pipes, flexible hose connections, or other related parts.
• Trace system malfunctions and replace fixtures such as safety devices, heating elements, valves, strainers, coils, and other related minor controls.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. A 40 hour work week is typical for this position. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee.
