* Job Description:
** The primary function of this position is to assist with the planning and execution of recreation programs or school break camps. This role supervises and assists participants of all ages, plans engaging and enjoyable activities, and ensures that facilities and equipment are clean and safe for use.
** ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
*** Available for Summer Camp, programs, special events, and occasional nights and weekends.
* Assists with implementation of activities, including games, team sports, arts and crafts, music, and life skills.
* Sets up equipment for participants' activities, such as tables, chairs, art supplies, sports gear, and games.
* Ensures participants’ safety.
* Assists with inventory of program supplies.
* Participates, leads, and trains children in activities and sports, providing guidance and coaching to participants.
* Ensures the Team Leader is updated verbally, or in writing, on all activities and is kept informed of any related issues.
* Ensures safe and sanitary conditions at all sites and reports to the Team Leader any problems encountered.
* Assists with special events, concerts, and other programs.
* Performs general maintenance as needed (e.g., disposing of garbage or keeping the facility clean).
* Communicates effectively with the parents/guardians
* Assists with field trips and confirms the safety of children during transportation.
* Opens and closes facility and/or park.
* Performs administrative tasks such as filing paperwork, answering phones, and tracking participant attendance.
* Performs other related job duties as assigned.
* In the event of special, emergency, or disaster situations, employee may be required to work schedules other than those for which they are regularly scheduled in any capacity deemed appropriate.
** QUALIFICATIONS

* Education and Experience:
** High school diploma/GED or enrolled in high school if under 18.
** Special
Qualifications:
** Must be CPR and First Aid certified or must gain certification within 30 days of employment at County expense. Strong creativity, socialization skills, and proficiency in oral and written communication are desired for the role. A valid Florida Driver's License and a Level 2 Background Check are required.
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
*** Ability to follow specific directions provided by supervisor and receive feedback.
* Ability to perform specific clerical or manual tasks; some typical responsibilities may include copying, maintaining files, or entering data OR utilizing light mechanical equipment such as a vehicle, lawn mower, or hand tool OR cleaning and maintaining a facility.
* Ability to follow specific procedures that may result in interaction with co‐workers, citizens, or other individuals; ability to make decisions regarding own activities and priorities.
* Ability to work with less than ten co‐workers who are mostly engaged in the same activities.
** PHYSICAL DEMANDS
** The work is medium and requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
* Balancing:
Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces. The amount of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.
* Climbing:
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
* Crawling:
Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
* Crouching:
Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
* Feeling:
Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
* Grasping:
Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
* Handling:
Picking, holding, or otherwise working, primarily with the whole…
