ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.
ObjectiveThe Business Development Manager – Energy is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across the energy value chain, including oil & gas, petrochemicals, power, renewables, and industrial energy services.
General Responsibilities- Support the execution of ASMO’s sales and growth strategy within the energy sector, contributing to the company’s market positioning and long-term expansion objectives.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities across targeted energy segments, including upstream, midstream, downstream, utilities, and industrial energy operations.
- Contribute to the development of energy-specific go-to-market strategies, customer segmentation plans, and strategic account development initiatives.
- Monitor energy market trends, regulatory developments, industry shifts, and customer investment cycles to proactively identify growth opportunities.
- Develop strategic relationships with key energy sector stakeholders to enhance ASMO’s visibility and competitive positioning.
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of energy-focused opportunities, progressing prospects from early engagement through proposal submission, negotiation, and contract award.
- Lead customer engagements during opportunity development, including technical requirement gathering, scope clarification, risk identification, and solution structuring.
- Coordinate the development of commercial proposals, pricing models, and business cases in collaboration with operations, finance, procurement, HSSE, and legal teams.
- Support contract negotiations to ensure alignment with ASMO’s margin targets, risk appetite, regulatory obligations, and operational capabilities.
- Ensure that energy solutions are technically compliant, commercially optimized, and aligned with contractual and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, opportunity tracking, and CRM reporting to support informed commercial decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- 9 years’ experience in business development, commercial, procurement, or supply chain roles within the energy, petrochemical, or chemical sectors
