ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.
ObjectiveThe Business Development Manager – Transport is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across transport and logistics services, including freight, haulage, fleet-based solutions, and integrated transport operations supporting energy, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
General Responsibilities- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of transport-focused opportunities, progressing leads from initial engagement through proposal submission and contract award.
- Lead customer engagements during the opportunity development phase, including requirements definition, scope clarification, and solution structuring.
- Coordinate the development of commercial proposals, pricing models, and business cases in close collaboration with transport operations, fleet, finance, procurement, and legal teams.
- Support contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with ASMO’s margin targets, risk appetite, and operational capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer logistics, operations, and procurement stakeholders.
- Act as the primary commercial interface for transport-related opportunities during pre-contract and early delivery phases.
- Collaborate closely with transport operations, fleet management, HSSE, finance, and legal teams to ensure customer solutions are feasible, compliant, and scalable.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of opportunity data, forecasts, and reporting within ASMO’s CRM and management reporting systems.
- Support internal governance processes, including opportunity reviews, investment approvals, fleet commitments, and risk assessments.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of transport commercial models, costing methodologies, and proposal templates.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- 9 years’ experience in business development, commercial, procurement, or supply chain roles within the energy, petrochemical, or chemical sectors.
