OverviewAs the Data Scientist at Al-Qadsiah Club, you will play a central role in the collection, management, integration, and interpretation of performance and medical data across the Women’s First Team. You will lead the development and optimisation of the club’s Athlete Management System (AMS), transforming complex multidisciplinary data into actionable insights that support performance enhancement, injury risk management, and informed decision‑making across the football department.
Key Responsibilities Performance Data Management- Oversee the collection, quality control, and management of all performance and medical data within the first team
- Maintain and expand the club’s Athlete Management System (AMS) to integrate multiple performance and medical data streams
- Manage data relating to GPS, wellness, force plate testing, injury records, strength diagnostics, training exposure, and match performance
- Ensure data governance, consistency, accessibility, and integrity across departments
- Lead the development and optimisation of the club’s AMS infrastructure
- Integrate multiple technologies, platforms, and databases into a unified performance system
- Automate data collection and reporting pipelines to improve efficiency and reduce manual processing
- Develop custom dashboards and reporting tools using platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and AMS reporting interfaces
- Design clear, actionable dashboards and visualisations for coaches and support staff
- Produce daily, weekly, and match-cycle reports covering training load, readiness, neuromuscular status, injury risk, and physical outputs
- Translate complex datasets into practical recommendations that support coaching decisions
- Provide meaningful insights that influence player monitoring and performance planning
- Collaborate with performance analysts to integrate physical data with technical and tactical outputs from platforms such as Hudl and Impect
- Develop datasets linking physical performance metrics with tactical phases of play and match context
- Analyse position-specific physical demands and high-intensity actions within football performance frameworks
- Support opposition analysis and match review processes by contextualising physical outputs within tactical performance
- Remain current with emerging research and applied methodologies in sports science and football analytics
- Lead and support applied research projects within the club
- Identify and implement innovative technologies and analytical approaches that improve player monitoring and decision‑making
- Drive continuous improvement through evidence-based practice and innovation
- Work closely with medical, rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and technical analysis staff
- Facilitate effective information sharing across departments through structured reporting and communication
- Support the alignment of physical periodisation with football methodology and tactical objectives
- Contribute to an integrated high‑performance environment focused on player development and availability
- PhD in Sport Science, Data Science, Performance Analysis, Sport & Exercise Physiology, or a related discipline
- Experience working within women’s football environments
- Experience leading applied research projects in elite sport
- Advanced knowledge of AI applications within sports performance environments
