The Vice President of Procurement & Supply Chain is a critical executive leadership role responsible for the end-to-end strategic oversight of the shipyard’s supply chain ecosystem. You will lead a multidisciplinary department of over 100 personnel, managing multi-billion SAR spend across capital projects, vessel construction, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations). Your primary mission is to build a resilient, world-class supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy that supports large-scale shipyard operations, including global sourcing, logistics, and warehousing.
  • Department Management: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of 100+ professionals across procurement, planning, inventory, and logistics.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Establish and manage global supplier relationships for long-lead marine items, steel, specialized machinery, and offshore equipment.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement and optimize advanced ERP systemsto drive digital transformation and real-time supply chain visibility.
  • Risk & Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation of high-value, complex maritime contracts and develop robust risk mitigation plans to ensure supply continuity in a volatile market.
  • Financial Stewardship: Accountable for departmental budgets and achieving significant annual cost-saving targets through centralized sourcing.
Requirements
  • Experience: 15–20+ years in Supply Chain/Procurement, with at least 10 years in an executive leadership role within a shipyard, maritime, or heavy industrial environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business; an MBA or MSc is highly preferred.
