Summary - Basic Function Of

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to join our team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role is focused on driving market growth by building a strong customer base within the assigned territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for converting known potential into contracts, generating new leads and customers, and ensuring the sales entity meets its growth targets. This position requires exceptional communication, networking, and sales skills to develop lasting relationships and deliver results in a competitive market.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Grow sales within existing clients and generate additional sales growth/profit through the identification and development of new clients.
  • Generate opportunities through sales visits and close customer contact, actively visit end‑user accounts, major projects and any prospect identified.
  • Maintain a healthy sales funnel/pipeline, aiming for at least four times the set targets.
  • Cooperate with local and regional colleagues, supporting them in identifying potential clients and joining visits to generate new business. Brainstorm new business ideas and diversify into new services.
  • Implement local strategies, including marketing efforts within the region that will result in meeting and exceeding annual targets.
  • Promote Hydratight services and solutions by organizing and executing customer activities such as presentations, seminars, demonstrations and training sessions (site and virtual).
  • Apply value selling, recommending technical solutions to end users by identifying potential opportunities during site visits and market mapping.
  • Participate in the full sales cycle and ensure that favourable contracts are negotiated per set DOA and payments are received under agreed terms.
  • Provide appropriate and regular reporting on opportunities, current quotation status and expected orders, using this information for proper forecasting.
  • Report to the Sales Manager on all commercial activities within the territory, complaints, trends, competitive actions and recommendations to improve sales results and productivity.
  • Participate in improvement activities to ensure smooth flow of systems and information and to eliminate waste in all processes.
  • Play an integral role in the commercial excellence programme and ensure SFDC is used to record all sales transactions and coverage.
  • Travel within the region and elsewhere as required.
  • Ensure all HSSEQ rules and regulations are communicated and enforced throughout the organisation.
  • Proactively participate in safety awareness and improvement.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally. Follow published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures. Act as an ambassador for the business, ensuring health and safety come first at all times.
