About the job Sales Manager - Power & Water

Our long-standing Tier 1 client is a well-established engineering solutions provider operating across the power generation, water treatment, desalination, and utilities sectors. The organisation partners with leading international manufacturers to deliver advanced technical systems and integrated infrastructure solutions across the region.

As part of its continued commercial expansion, the company is seeking an experienced Sales Manager - Power & Water to drive revenue growth and strengthen market presence within the Power & Water portfolio. This role carries significant strategic responsibility, combining business development, key account management, and tender leadership. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping market strategy, securing high-value projects, and supporting long-term regional growth.

Strategic Sales & Market Development

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities across power and water sectors.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand patterns.
  • Expand market penetration within utilities and industrial segments.

Business Development & Key Account Management

  • Build long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Manage and grow strategic accounts to maximise revenue and margin.
  • Negotiate commercial terms to secure sustainable business growth.
  • Ensure high levels of customer engagement and retention.
  • Lead preparation of technical and commercial proposals and bids.
  • Coordinate with engineering and supplier teams for compliant submissions.
  • Drive competitive pricing strategies aligned with profitability targets.
  • Oversee full tender lifecycle from opportunity identification to award.

Performance Reporting & Commercial Oversight

  • Achieve or exceed annual sales and gross profit targets.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market insights.
  • Present strategic sales reports to senior management.
  • Provide regular market intelligence and performance briefings to Country Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in technical sales within power or water sectors.
  • Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and securing major projects.
  • Strong experience in tendering, bid management, and contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrated success managing strategic accounts and key stakeholders.
  • Sound understanding of power generation, desalination, and utilities markets.
  • Experience working with international suppliers and technical partners.
  • Strong commercial acumen with analytical and forecasting capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a regional, multicultural environment.
