This job posting is for the State of Hawai'i, Department of Human Services, Benefit, Employment and Support Services Division (BESSD).
The position is located in downtown Honolulu on the island of O'ahu.
Salary:
Commensurate with education and experience.
The purpose of this position is to serve as the Assistant Project Manager for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the BESSD application that will be integrated with the Department's operating Medicaid eligibility system, Kauhale (community) On-Line Eligibility Assistance (KOLEA) and Enterprise Platform. When completed, this project will provide a comprehensive, integrated information and data processing system that efficiently and expeditiously determines eligibility for the various public assistance programs, specifically TANF, TAONF, GA, AABD, SNAP and LIHEAP, within required federal and state regulations.

- Education
:
Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor's degree. - Experience
:
Three (3) years of professional work experience demonstrating experience in design and development of public benefit eligibility systems. Experience includes working with staff, consultants, and vendors; analyzing and providing feedback on project work plans; establishing target completion dates and identifying resource requirements; monitoring progress; identifying and resolving issues; and providing status reports. Experience which included involvement with the development and maintenance of various public assistance programs such as TANF, SNAP, LIHEAP, GA, and AABD would be extremely useful.
Experience which involved responsibility for identifying program goals and objectives and evaluating their attainment; identifying resource needs; planning, organizing and coordinating program activities and actively participating in policy determination are extremely desirable. - Knowledge

Principles, practices, and goals of public welfare programs; knowledge of information technology principles, practices and goals of comprehensive, integrated information and data processing systems. - Skills and Abilities
