Health System Specialist

About the Position:

This position is with the Directorate of Executive Services located at Tripler Army Medical Center, on the Island of Oahu, HI.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience;

if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document.

One year of specialized experience which includes:
1) Providing administrative and health care management support through research, analysis, and evaluation of raw data to advise leadership on consistency with command policies and operating procedures;
2) Analyzing workload statistics; and
3) Developing methods to track progress toward established benchmarks and goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

One year of specialized experience which includes:
2) Utilizing electronic healthcare systems to evaluate clinical processes and recommend operational solutions;
2) Performing program analysis to ensure compliance, quality of service, and outpatient care standards in a healthcare setting; and
3) Developing and executing departmental budgets. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
