Maui Hotel Concierge - Activity Sales

This position is based on the Island of Maui - Kihei. You must reside on island to be considered for the position. If interested, you must complete an online application. are now hiring Concierge Sales Agents who will serve as Ambassadors of Aloha to help others experience our beautiful Island in ways they will never forget. As a Concierge Sales Agent you will be working closely with our guests to book their activities and tours while they are on the Island of Maui.

You may also be booking tours and activities on the neighbor islands for our guest depending on their travel needs.

New Hire Training will be virtual. Once initial training is complete, this position will be based at a hotel concierge desk.
** Salary: $16/hr + uncapped earning potential on commission

Status:
Full Time(35-40 hours per week) Must have weekend availability. Flexible with travel from Kihei to Lahaina.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintaining accurate information and knowledge of local activities, directions, and landmarks to assist guest(s) inquiry

Promoting products and services offered by Pleasant Activities such as historic site tours, land & water activities and other various attractions

Inputting purchases through the POS system

Print tickets & itinerary, confirm reservation(s) and follow up on any additional information as deemed necessary

Resolving basic/standard product or service problems received. Recommend efficient resolution methods that expedite correction or adjustment, and/or provide immediate guest satisfaction

Processing all administrative tasks related to individual sales transactions, which includes, but is not limited to credit card/cash transactions, guest refunds, and daily bank deposits

Performing all opening/setup, breakdown, and closing of location equipment (i.e. computer, printer, phones and desk materials as designated by the assigned location)
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

A minimum of 1 year prior experience in sales or customer service

Prior experience working within the tourism, hospitality, or travel industry

Exceptional sales and customer service skills with the ability to cater to individual guest needs

Knowledge of the Hawaiian Islands and the Tours & Activities we have to offer (training provided)
A love for interacting with people from different cultures

The ability to take initiative, work independently and multi-task in a fast paced environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills (required)
Computer literacy (required)
Experience using a POS system (preferred, training provided)
Able to speak, read, and write in English fluently (required)
Able to speak, read, and write in Japanese fluently (Highly preferred)
