Express Employment Professionals
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Project Administrator on behalf of a client specializing in innovative flooring solutions. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a strong accounting background to help keep projects organized, on schedule, and financially sound.
This role focuses heavily on project coordination, accounting support, and financial management, with working knowledge of multi-state tax compliance preferred. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy keeping operations running smoothly, we would love to hear from you!
Salary- $60,000 annually
- Coordinate day-to-day project administration, including timelines, scheduling, and documentation
- Communicate with vendors, contractors, and clients to manage project expectations and deadlines
- Prepare and submit invoices, purchase orders, and progress reports accurately and timely
- Coordinate logistics and planning for material deliveries
- Track and maintain records of materials, labor costs, and project expenses
- Organize project documentation and ensure deliverables stay on schedule
- Handle bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Apply job costing and construction accounting principles to monitor project profitability
- Calculate commissions based on sales data and compensation plans
- Manage budgets and prepare accurate financial reports
- Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Assist with maintaining compliance with tax laws in multiple states
- Support tax compliance for out-of-state projects, including subcontractor licensing and registrations
- Collect and maintain tax and licensing documentation such as W-9s, exemption certificates, and proof of licensing
- Monitor changing tax regulations and identify potential compliance concerns
- 3–5 years of project administration or project coordination experience with an accounting background
- Experience in the flooring or construction industry preferred
- Strong understanding of job costing and construction accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of multi-state tax compliance is a plus
- Track record of managing project timelines, budgets, financial reports, and vendor relationships
- Proven project administration and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and completing deadlines
