Part Time- Testing

Position Summary

Work under minimum supervision to ensure the efficient operation of the Testing Center office and provide clerical services. Handle confidential information and engage in frequent contact with a diverse student population.

• Assist with the proctoring of most standardized exams.
• Proctor exams, answer phones, and schedule testing appointments.
• Disseminate testing information to students, faculty, staff and potential students; assist with other office duties as necessary.
• Provide flexibility with reporting to either campus (Kilgore & Longview) to assist with duties listed above as needed.

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, ability to work in a cordial, professional manner with diverse populations with sensitivity to student privacy and test security.
• Previous experience with computers and data entry.
• Good verbal communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• All positions are considered security‑sensitive and subject to a background check pre‑employment.

• Typical interior/office work environment.
• Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds).
• No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
• Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals.
• Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
• Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.
• Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.

• Pay range up to $10–$12 per hour depending on experience for up to 19 hours per week.
