Adjunct Instructor - Computer Information Technology
This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Business and Information Technology department and reports to the Department Chair. Computer Information Technology instructors who can teach hyflex courses (face‑to‑face instruction supplemented with online instruction) are needed.
Responsibilities- Teach one or more Computer Information Technology courses.
- Develop appropriate course syllabi.
- Work with students as needed.
- Teach and supervise all learning experiences and evaluate student performance in the classroom.
- Deliver courses in a hyflex format, meeting on campus typically two days a week and communicating online the remainder of the time.
- Cover current course needs in Integrated Software Applications, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL.
- Associate’s degree or higher in information technology, computer science, or computer information systems.
- At least 3 years of full‑time experience working as an IT professional.
- Industry certifications highly desirable.
- Previous teaching experience a plus.
- Candidate must reside in the state of Texas.
Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education, ranging from $1,800 per 3‑hour course for up to a bachelor's degree to $2,100 per 3‑hour course for a doctorate.
