Position DetailsThis position is part of the teaching faculty within the Science & Health Sciences department and reports to the Chair of the Biology Department.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include teaching a 16 week Biol 2420 (Microbiology for Non-Science Majors) lecture and laboratory course, developing appropriate course syllabi, and working with students as needed.
Minimum QualificationsCandidates for this position must have a mastery of microbiology and have a commitment to excellence in teaching at the community college level. The successful candidate for this position will have a master’s degree or higher and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in biology. Preference will be given to applicants with college level teaching experience.
Salary Range & Fringe Benefits- Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.
