Position Details
This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Math, Engineering and Physics Department and reports to the Department Chair.
ResponsibilitiesThis is a part‑time faculty position. Expectations for this position include teaching two college‑level Engineering courses in the Spring Semester that are four credit hours each, Statics and Dynamics. Both courses are offered four days per week (Monday – Thursday) in an eight‑week format. These courses can be taught in a hybrid format (partially face‑to‑face and partially online) and will require the use of instructional technology in and out of the classroom.
Engineering faculty members teach and supervise all learning experiences and evaluate student performance in the classroom.
A Master’s Degree or higher with a minimum of eighteen graduate hours in Engineering is required. Preference will be given to applicants with college teaching experience. Candidates for this position should have mastery of Engineering and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
Salary Range & Fringe Benefits- Salary for adjunct faculty members is based on level of education and ranges from $1,800 per 3‑hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3‑hour course for a doctorate.
