Purpose:

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements (or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI))

• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Knowledge of subjects assigned
• Able to research and develop teaching units
• Ability to utilize technology and information resources
• Able to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience

Kilgore ISD is located in the Piney Woods of Northeast Texas, approximately 120 miles east of Dallas, TX and 70 miles west of Shreveport, LA.
