Purpose:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university
Valid Texas Teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject/grade assigned. Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
[Physical Education Teachers:
Current automated external defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate]
Special Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of core academic subject(s) assigned.
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
Ability to research and develop teaching units.
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
Ability to utilize technology and information resources.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience
Student teaching or approved internship.
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $45,500 to $73,165 Per Year
