Wieland is hiring a Foundry Operator
. The Foundry Operator will be responsible for assisting with overall warehouse operations, including centrifugal casting functions, machine operation, processing material, and maintaining inventory. This role is located in Kilgore, TX and will be fully on‑site.
Starting Pay: $19 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 1st shift (5:00 am–3:00 pm)
Payment: Bi‑Weekly
Responsibilities- Create and maintain a safe, organized, and clean working environment.
- Perform quality inspections, including visual and temperature checks.
- Perform support activities, including tool change, reline tasks, etc.
- Assemble, rebuild, set up, maintain, and operate equipment.
- Operate and handle melting / holding equipment.
- Manipulate and work with various metal alloys.
- Inspect inventory and product orders for accuracy.
- Report product discrepancies to management.
- Perform all applicable SOP’s, JSA’s, and QAP’s.
- Handle raw materials and plant scrap.
Actively communicate with teammates. - Other operations tasks as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of manufacturing industries preferred.
- Experience in foundry/casting industry preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast‑paced environments.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail (critical skill).
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers and management.
- Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by the position.
- Ability to work occasional Saturday hours as required by the position.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
- Standing, walking up to 10 hours.
- Twisting, bending up to 10 hours.
- Perform duties under the pressure of deadlines.
- Must be able to distinguish colors.
- Must be able to wear task‑appropriate PPE.
- No pacemakers allowed due to electromagnetic hazard.
