DescriptionThis position is responsible for refurbishing frac trailers and related components (including engines, pumps, transmissions, etc.) in a shop environment to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 7 am to 4 pm. Our address is 3007 Maverick Dr., Kilgore, TX 75662.
Mid-level position – Generally has more than three years of experience, but less than six years, and/or demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills. A Level III Technician is familiar with a variety of the field’s standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Level III Technician performs a variety of standard and technical tasks, works under general supervision, and is often a team member on a large project.
EssentialFunctions
- Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose frac equipment malfunctions and failures
- Must be able to complete parts orders and identify parts for return
- Maintains all equipment and work areas – keeps in good, clean, and orderly condition
- Completes all documents associated with repairs promptly
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment and trailers
- Removes and installs components on frac pumping units
- Removes and installs hydraulic hoses and related components
- Assists in the startup and testing of frac pump units
- Maintains a safe, clean, and organized frac pumping units and work area
- Provides technical support to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner; moreover, ensures maximum value for work performed
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of forklift, scissor lift, and overhead crane operation
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Quality control analysis skills – conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
- Operation and control skills – controlling operations of equipment or systems
- Equipment selection skills – determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
- The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair
- The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
- The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
- Must be able to use computerized equipment to troubleshoot, diagnose, and order parts
- Must have personal tools to complete work assigned
Education and Experience
- One to three years of industry experience preferred
- Frac Trailer Repair experience preferred
- Diesel technology schooling preferred
- Must have a valid driver license
- None
- Any travel required will be for training
- Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
- Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
- Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climb up and down ladders
- Be able to safely maneuver and work underneath equipment
