SUMMARYSortsincomingmailfordistributionanddispatchesoutgoingmailbyperformingthefollowing duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Processesmailandparcelsincludingpick-up,sorting,distributinganddeliveringofmailtoKISD Administration building on an established schedule.
- Placesincomingcampusmail,United States Postal Servicemailandparcelsinappropriateboxes for distribution.
- Insertsinterschoolmailinmailbagsfordaily delivery.
- Gathersandsortsmailfrom United States Post Officeand Administrationbuildingoffices , schools and departments and takes US mail to the post office twice or more daily.
- Processeslargevolumesofbulkmailouts(daily,weekly,and monthly) fromschoolcampuses and departments.
- Performsdailymailoutsofpurchaseorders.
- Picks-upvendorchecksfrom
Business Services Office ,affixespostage,anddeliverschecksto US Post Office. - Sortsandplaces
RegionXIImailinappropriate boxes. - Completesendofmonthreportsforpostagemachinetobehandcarriedto Accounts Payable Treasury Specialist.
- Orderssuppliesforpostagemachine.
- Performs postage meter verification transaction (when due by Post Office). PreparesUPSpackagesandhavethemreadyforUPSpick-uponadailybasis. Performs other such tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Highschooldiplomaor General Education Degree (GED).Aminimumof1yearmail distribution experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbilitytoreadandinterpretdocumentssuchassafetyrules,operatingandmaintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions,percentages,area,circumference,andvolume.
Abilitytoapplyconceptsofbasic algebra and geometry.
Abilitytoapplycommonsenseunderstandingtocarryoutdetailedbutuninvolvedwrittenororal instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
