Closing Date8/31/2026 5:30 PM Central Summary of Position Overall duties and responsibilities are assisting the Automotive Instructor with all classes and laboratory activities in a professional manner, assisting students on an individual basis and assisting the Automotive Instructor in ensuring that the instructional programs of the Automotive Department are of the highest quality, and reflect current technology.
Education and Experience High School or GED Certificate One (1) year recent work experience in the Automotive Service and Repair field orAAS Degree/Certificate of Completion in the Automotive field.
Knowledge Skills and Ability Knowledge in all phases of Automotive Service and Repair to include: shop operation, safety, OSHA Requirement, hazardous material disposal, use of printed and computerized publications, use tools and equipment used in Automotive Service Industry, theory, application, service and repair of all automotive systems. Must be able to use welding and cutting equipment
Able to perform repairs and periodic maintenance on equipment assigned to the Automotive Department.
Able to answer office telephones and communicate information to callers.
Possess pleasant personality and be able to work with people, highly motivated and able to work with limited supervision, fair and impartial when working with students and staff.
Communicate in the English Language (Read, Write, Speak), able to explain enrollment procedures programs/course content in a manner that potential students can understand, able to write legibly, some counseling ability, be able to speak to groups.
