Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, bilingual Dental Patient Coordinator to join our fast-paced dental team. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for patient care, excellent customer service skills, and thrives while multitasking. You must be comfortable managing multi-line phones, navigating Dentrix software, verifying insurance, and explaining treatment plans to patients.

Responsibilities
- Patient Relations & Communication
- Welcome Patients: Provide a warm, high-energy greeting to every patient entering the practice
- Phone Management: Answer multi-line phones enthusiastically, route calls, and schedule appointments
- Customer Service: Resolve patient inquiries with empathy, professionalism, and a patient-first mindset
- Insurance & Billing Administration
- Insurance Verification: Verify coverage for commercial PPO plans and Texas Medicaid programs (e.g., MCNA, Denta Quest)
- Pre-authorizations: Submit, track, and follow up on dental pre-authorizations to ensure timely approvals
- Dentrix Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records, schedules, and ledgers in Dentrix
- Treatment Coordination
- Plan Presentations: Clearly explain diagnosed treatment plans, phases, and scheduling timelines to patients
- Financial Agreements: Break down out-of-pocket costs, copays, and available payment options (e.g., Care Credit)
- Closing Cases: Answer patient questions confidently to secure commitment and book treatment appointments
Qualifications& Skills
- Required Experience
- Software: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using Dentrix software
- Insurance: Proven familiarity with PPO insurance breakdowns and Texas Medicaid processing
- Language: Professional fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken)
- Core Competencies
- Multitasking: Ability to check in patients, answer phones, and process paperwork simultaneously
- High Energy: A vibrant, positive attitude that uplifts patients and coworkers alike
- Communication: Exceptional phone etiquette and comfort discussing large financial balances
- Detail-Oriented: Precision in inputting insurance data and tracking pre-authorizations
