TAMUCT is a public university in Killeen, Texas, located near Fort Hood and the Austin area. It offers junior- and senior-level coursework leading to baccalaureate and graduate degrees. TAMUCT department of Social Sciences is an interdisciplinary department, with programs in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Sociology, and Anthropology.

The Department of Social Sciences at Texas A&M University–Central Texas (TAMUCT) is seeking applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor who will join the undergraduate Sociology program to begin August. The applicant will teach undergraduate courses throughout the curriculum as needed and within their area of specialization, maintain an active research agenda, and engage in service activities.

• Teach face-to-face and online courses that may include the following:
  Sociology of the Take an active role in the growing the undergraduate program by developing curriculum, advising students, and taking part in sociology recruitment and other events.

• Engage in an active research agenda including publishing and presenting findings at academic conferences.
• Participate in service commitments within the department, college, university, and the profession.

• Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology in hand by time of appointment.
• Evidence of an active research agenda.
• One year of active teaching experience.

• Evidence of exemplary teaching is preferred and should be noted in the application materials where possible.
• Evidence of scholarly activity, and publication within their area of specialization.
• Experience with online Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably in a collegiate setting.
• Experience in curriculum development.
