To teach lecture and/or lab courses in the Science Department. Adjunct faculty are responsible for providing high-quality instruction and supporting student learning in the classroom or laboratory settings.

Compensation

Paid by part‑time employment agreement, based on course type and number of students.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Anatomy & Physiology or related courses from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Postgraduate teaching experience (community college and/or secondary) preferred.
  • Proficient communication in written and oral English.
  • Ability to teach and prepare in‑person lectures and labs in BIOL 2401 – Anatomy & Physiology I and BIOL 2402 – Anatomy & Physiology II.
  • Computer literacy with experience using instructional technologies and LMS such as Blackboard.
  • Proficiency in the use of microscopes, dissection equipment, and A&P laboratory models.
  • Commitment to a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses using student‑centered instructional methods.
  • Deliver face‑to‑face or hybrid classes as required.
  • Use Blackboard and other instructional technology for course delivery and communication.
  • Develop and deliver course materials, syllabi, assignments, labs, and assessments aligned with departmental learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
  • Ensure safe and compliant laboratory practices, including chemical handling, microscope use, dissection protocols, and equipment maintenance.
  • Implement strategies that support diverse learners.
  • Communicate clearly with students about expectations, progress, and academic support.
  • Create a respectful, inclusive, and conducive classroom environment.
  • Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical assessments and provide timely feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress and submit certification to registrar by the required deadline.
  • Adhere to college policies and provide constructive feedback to support student learning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
