Third Future Schools is a high‑achieving network of charter schools. The Manor Middle School in Killeen, Texas is seeking a DYAD Physical Education Consultant to lead engaging elective classes for students.
This role is part of the DYAD program, a specialized experiential learning model designed to build critical‑thinking, communication, creativity, and other 21st‑century skills through hands‑on learning experiences. Students are grouped and participate in elective‑style courses that may include technology, fitness, arts, and other enrichment experiences.
Position SummaryDYAD consultants provide a learning experience through their expertise. The Physical Education Consultant helps students build confidence, teamwork, discipline, coordination, sportsmanship, and habits of success through movement, fitness, and age‑appropriate physical activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide engaging, structured, and experience‑based instruction in physical education
- Develop and deliver an independent curriculum aligned to the elective they teach
- Plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program
- Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment
- Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period
- Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations
- Ensure students participate in meaningful, hands‑on learning experiences
- Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership
- Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction
- Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real‑world experiences
- Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program
- Create opportunities for parents and families to celebrate students’ accomplishments through showcases, skill demonstrations, presentations, or other learning demonstrations
- Skill, knowledge, and first‑hand experience in physical education, fitness, sports, or movement‑based instruction
- Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills
- Ability to provide structured, engaging, and experience‑based learning
- Commitment to professionalism, consistency, and student engagement
This is an hourly position paid at $30 per hour. No benefits are provided.
Job Requirements- At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
