* Job Description:

* + Reviews staffing and census of all nursing units to ensure consistency with budget and patient needs, adjusting staff as necessary.

+ Facilitates patient admissions and patient flow.

+ Makes frequent rounds throughout the hospital to assess and resolve issues and incidents.

+ Provides consultation to staff as needed.

+ Promotes good interpersonal relations between all departments.

+ Assists staff in obtaining equipment and supplies as needed. Provides crisis intervention for all hospital departments.

** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
* - Thorough understanding of hospital policies, procedures and legal aspects of acute care nursing [Required]

- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing [Required]

- Basic computer skills [Required]

- Previous nursing management experience [Preferred]

- Previous experience with Cerner electronic medical record [Preferred]

- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

* Work Experience:

* - 3+ years experience in acute patient care [Required]

- Critical Care or Emergency Department experience [Preferred]

** Licenses and

- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]

- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Required]
